Craft Lessons page 1-13

     The writing process could be visualized by conceiving, crafting, and correcting.  Teachers tend to spend the most time with their students in the conceiving and correcting stages.  However, crafting is probably the most difficult for students.  Crafting requires writers to make a lot of decisions on their own.  Writers also need time to write everyday to improve their skills.  Writers need a response to their writings.  Writers need to feel responsibility in their writings.  Writers need a variety of literature to read in order to be a good writer. 

        As a teacher, I am interested in what the book has to say about how to develop better crafting skills.  I do agree that the crafting is probably the most difficult part of the writing process.  I also do think students need the time to develop their writing skills.
