East Central Elementary has a tradition of being one of the top elementary schools in Georgia. In 2000, the Georgia Public Policy Foundation ranked East Central as the number one elementary school in northwest Georgia. That same foundation ranked us 43rd in the state of Georgia that year. During the 2003-2004 school year, we were named an “Effective Practices School” by the Georgia Council on Schools.
